Meet the Founder, Jennifer Joye

As a caregiver, teacher, and nurturer, Jennifer has been supporting children in understanding and managing their emotions, enabling healthier reactions to everyday situations, for decades.

In 2020, Jennifer found herself surrounded by children with sadness in their hearts due to separation from a parent in one way or another.  She then decided to pull out her crystals and book to share with the children.  Their reaction, interest in learning and receptiveness to the crystals confirmed that Jennifer was on the right path.  She then started her creation of the characters to represent crystals for children to relate to.  Along with the emotional transformation she went through, led by David Young, a life coach with Wholehearted, she found her path and vision for Camp 39.

With almost 10 years living in Japan, Jennifer has also created a Japanese Club curriculum.  She incorporates culture, language, writing, food, and crafts to bring a feel of Japan to her students.   Jennifer customizes the curriculum to the age and interests of the group she’s working with in the time allotted.  Japanese Club is an afternoon option offered at Camp 39 as well.

In addition to her work with children, Jennifer is a licensed Aesthetician and Certified in Medicinal Essential Oils with Wisdom of the Earth.  Jennifer initially decided to study medicinal essential oils as a supplement to Camp 39, not knowing how it would change her life and improve her health.  She offers holistic facials, oil consultations and medicinal oil massages for private clients.

Jennifer is an avid explorer who enjoys traveling and  shopping with her daughter, when she’s not helping others.
